IMPCMAXENTIVSPFAVG [IMP C MAXENTIVS P F AVG]; bust l., laur., in imperial mantle, r. holding eagle-tipped sceptre [C].

NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED BUST TYPE - C. Not attested for this reverse type (p. 403). However, bust type C is attested for the next issue, with similar reverse, but wolf and twins turned r. [OSTIA 20]. In the present author opinion, the existence of OSTIA 20 needs confirmation. Coin should be listed after OSTIA 17.
