REVERSE VARIETY. Specimen similar to LONDON 84 except for the presence of letters in field [S in left field, P in right field]. According to RIC, LONDON 84 has "no letters in field" (footnote 84 on p. 102); see example of LONDON 84 (ex-Vogelaar; sold on Spink auction in March 2008 for $400). Note that elaborate cuirass sometimes resembles drapery, so bust type B5 may be recognized as B4 or a consular bust. Coin should be listed after LONDON 83.
